Beat the Holiday Hustle

by | Balance for Educators

As the holiday season is now completely upon us, I wanted to share some of my own reflections with you.

First, a question for you: How can you beat the holiday hustle and have a heart-centered holiday? I’m asking myself the same thing.

A line from the Hallmark movie Next Stop, Christmas recently caught my attention, especially as I was contemplating what holiday message I wanted to share with my Balance For Educators community.

Here it is:

“This time of the year everyone is in a rush.  But this is the time of year to slow down and take in all that is around you.”

I invite you to check out the video below where I share some more recent reflections and offer you some food for thought about how you might reframe the “holiday hustle.”

What ideas do you have for ways to stay out of the humbug and into the heart centered?

Share with me below!

I’ll be back in touch with some more tips for the season and would love to share some of your strategies with our community, too!

Balanced Life Mentor for Educators

Hi, I’m Amy (she/her)! I consider myself a teacher and student every single day. I’ve been practicing yoga and mindfulness for many years and love weaving them into my work as a public school educator in Pennsylvania. I have a BS in Education of Spanish and a Masters in Education.

I’m also a certified yoga teacher (RYT-500) and Balanced Life Mentor. I feel strongly that yoga and mindfulness can benefit anyone at any stage of life and that the skills learned through these practices are especially important to teach to today’s youth. My goal is to cultivate a space of acceptance and comfort, offering the people I support permission to be themselves, trust themselves, and grow at their own pace.
