Today I’m asking you a simple (but at the same time, complicated) question:
When was the last time you felt fully balanced in your own life?
Not related to school and all the many things you do there…
Rather a feeling of presence – balance – in your real, everyday life.
For many educators, the days go by in a blur. You move from one demand to the next: classes, grading, planning, and thinking about classes, grading, planning, plus all the other tasks educators constantly juggle.
Why? Because you care deeply. You want to give your students and school your “all.”
Then by the end of the week, you might feel like you’re running on fumes.
Here is what I am noticing in my conversations with educators lately:
- The feeling of constantly being behind
- Not being able to remember the last time they felt rested
- They love teaching but are questioning how long they can keep up this challenging pace
So I want to ask you… How are you really doing?
Simply take a few moments to ask yourself: Am I feeling…
“Balanced”
“Overwhelmed”
“Somewhere in between”
And if you are ready for more than reflection, if you would like support in building a version of balance that works for your real life, book a complimentary call here.
Your career should not come at the expense of your well-being.
